4 Winter Activities to Enjoy in Park City

Are you planning a winter getaway to escape the boredom of the season? Park City is a fantastic option, as it’s a premier destination for winter-time enthusiasts. With two world-class ski resorts, snow addicts can spend their days racing down the slopes in skis or snowboards. There’s also plenty to do for those who appreciate the outdoors but may not want to spend their time in the snow. Affordable Rent-A-Car and Sales recommends these five winter-time activities the next time you visit Park City.

1. Skiing & Snowboarding

Park City Mountain is the largest resort in the United States. With a total of 7,300 acres, this snow resort has 330 trails, 43 lifts, six terrain parks, and ski-in-ski-out access to historic Main Street. You can ski and snowboard, relax at one of the ski beer bars, spend an afternoon shopping, or pamper yourself with a massage, facial, or rejuvenating detox.

2. Horseback Riding

If you’ve never been horseback riding, your visit to Park City is the perfect time to try it. The horses in Park City are known for being kind and responsive. They have plenty of experience riding on the mountain trails. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the magnificent terrain.

3. Sleigh Rides

If slow and steady is more your speed, book a sleigh ride for you and your family. There are several companies in Park City that provide this fun, unique experience. For a traditional sleigh ride, we recommend driving to Rocky Mountain Outfitters where you will be pulled by a team of Clydesdales. For a more adventurous ride, Park City Mountain has an all-evening sleigh ride event that includes dinner along with the breathtaking views of the mountain.

4. Fat Tire Biking

Perhaps you’ve been mountain biking, but have you ever been fat tire biking? This sport has become a very popular way for visitors to appreciate the local beautiful landscape. You can rent a fat bike in Park City and take it to one of the many trails available such as Round Valley, Historic Rail Trail, or Glenwild.
