Take Your Family to Bryce Canyon National Park

If you’re traveling through Utah for a fun-filled road trip, there’s one destination you shouldn’t leave off of your list. Bryce Canyon National Park is home to some of the most beautiful scenery the country has to offer, and it is an ideal place to visit with the family in your SLC car rental.

Location

To reach Bryce Canyon National park in your SLC car rental from Affordable Rent-A-Car and Sales, follow these directions from the NPS website: “Take I-15 south to UT-20 (exit 95). Travel east on UT-20 to US-89. Follow US-89 south to UT-12. Travel east on UT-12 to UT-63. Take UT-63 south to Bryce Canyon National Park. The visitor center sits 1 mile inside the park boundary.”

Activities

There are plenty of great activities to enjoy when you visit Bryce Canyon National Park with your trusty rental car. Here’s a quick look at just a few.

Hiking: You’ll need to stretch your legs after the drive to Bryce Canyon. Lucky for you, the park has several different trails to choose from, each surrounded by Bryce Canyon’s unique landscape. Don’t forget to pack a set of sturdy hiking boots, water, and a First Aid kit before hitting the trails.

Camping: Two campgrounds, both conveniently close to the visitor center, are available for visitors who want to spend more than just a day at Bryce Canyon National Park. Both campgrounds have restroom facilities and running water.

Winter Fun: If you’re visiting Bryce Canyon in the wintertime, there are several exhilarating activities to choose from. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, and winter backpacking are all extremely popular activities at the park. Don’t forget to dress for the weather, and check with the park for any dangerous trail conditions or animal sightings before heading to the slopes or trails.

Hours

From November through March, the park’s visitor center is open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Admission/Fees

Vehicle permits received from paying entrance fees are good for up to 7 days.

Vehicle Permit: $25

Individual Permit (pedestrian, bicycle, motorcycle): $12 per person
